Change reaches further than it looks
Bill Foundation TZ is a charitable organisation committed to transforming lives and strengthening communities through compassion, service and empowerment. We work from one belief: that every person deserves dignity, opportunity and care.
Our work is rooted in love for humanity and a responsibility to lift up society by addressing real social challenges and creating lasting positive change. We operate in Dar es Salaam and the surrounding regions, alongside orphanage centres, families in hardship, and young people who want to serve.

Our work in action
Where the pillars meet real life
Every programme is run by volunteers and aimed at a need our team has seen first-hand.
Street outreach: food and water
In the evening our team cooks, packs and hands out hot meals and clean water to people living on the streets of Dar es Salaam — served person to person, with respect rather than pity.
Serves: people living rough in the city centre
Orphanage support
We visit centres such as Hisani Orphanage Centre in Kibada, Kigamboni, and Green Pastures in Bagamoyo, arriving with food, clothes, school supplies — and hours to actually spend with the children.
Serves: children in residential care and the staff who raise them
Youth empowerment and volunteering
Young people run this foundation. Members plan outreaches, raise resources, handle communications and logistics, and leave with leadership experience and the habit of service.
Serves: students and young professionals across Dar es Salaam
Hospital visits
We visit the children's ward at Muhimbili National Hospital with essentials, small comforts and time — for the children on the ward and for the parents keeping watch beside them.
Serves: children admitted to the ward and their families
Education and essentials
Exercise books, school kits, clothing and household essentials for children and families in hardship, so that no child stays home over something as small as a missing uniform or a set of books.
Serves: school-age children and low-income households

Our story
Bill Foundation TZ began with a small group of friends and one idea: that a single act of kindness creates a ripple. What started as evening food runs in the city has grown into a volunteer movement that visits orphanage centres, supports families in hardship and gives young Tanzanians a place to serve.

We work with children, so a written child protection policy governs volunteer conduct, photography and consent. Read the policy
